PC-3000 Flash. Intelligent ReRead Mode

Hey guys!

As you may well know a new version of PC-3000 Flash 7.1.1 is available in personal update boxes for all customers with active Technical Support service.

In this article, we would like to tell you more about a new Intelligent ReRead Mode which has made its appearance in the recent update.

Attention! This feature works only with the PC-3000 Flash 4.0 and the PC-3000 Flash 3.0 (external power control adapter is required for the PC-3000 Flash 3.0)

Before you proceed  to work with a flash case, you have to make 3 basic steps:

  • Read NAND Chip;
  • Launch ECC correction;
  • ReRead bad sectors that were not fixed by ECC.

These steps are necessary because a high rate of bit errors may have a bad influence on user data and make data recovery impossible. The detailed procedure is described in our articles “PC-3000 Flash. Methods of data correction”. You can find them here: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.
